On 6 March 2011 at Silver Pagoda HM the King presided over the memorial service for former King Preah Bat Norodom Suramrith. Members of the Royal Family and the Royal Palace dignitaries were present on this occasion, mainly: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Senator Samdech Reach Botrey Preah Ream Norodom Bupha Devi, High Privy Counsellor to HM the King Samdech Norodom Sirivudh, High Privy Counsellor to HM the King Samdech Sisowath Pong Neary Monipong, HRH Princess Norodom Marie, H.E. Mr. Kuy Sophal, Senior Minister in charge of Royal Palace Affairs.
