On August 1, 2008, Samdech Akka Mohathammpothisal Chea Sim, Chairman of the Senate, Samdech Akka Moha Ponheachakrey Heng Samrin, Chairman of the National Assembly, Samdech Akka Mohasenapadey Decho Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, members of the Senate, of the National Assembly, of the Royal Government and of the Diplomatic Corps paid homage to Their Majesties King Norodom Sihamoni, King-Father Norodom Sihanouk and Queen-Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk upon their departure to the People's Republic of China where they were invited to attend the Opening Ceremony of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
