On Wednesday May 31, 2006, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni visited the construction works of the Buddhist University located at Vat Svay Pope in Phnom Penh, University initiated by Samdech Bou Kry, Patriarch of the Thammayudh Buddhist sect. The King gave Samdech Bou Kry a personal contribution of 2,000 US dollars and the contribution of Their Majesties King-Father Norodom Sihanouk and Queen-Mother Norodom Monineath amounting to 4,000 US dollars.
