On 8 February 2011, HM the King visited poor rural areas of Staung district Kompong Thom province. On His humanitarian visit, HM the King was accompanied by deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace Samdech Chauvea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Senior Minister in charge of Royal Palace Affairs H.E. Mr. Kuy Sophal, Minister of the Royal Palace Ministry H.E. Mr. Chhea Horn, other high ranking officials the Royal Palace and Kompong Thom provincial authorities. First HM the King visited Ta Treal villagers, in Pralay commune and donated to each family in their homes 50kg of rice, clothes, bedding and 50,000 riels.
