HM the King was giving to 7 monks present at the crere mony,offerings and financial support. The chief of the monks of the province received 260,000 riels, the deputy chief , 240,000 riels and the patriarch of each pagoda 200,000 riels. HM the King also offered 500,000 riels in contribution to the pagoda’s renovation Kompong Speu provincial governor Kang Hieng, and H.E. M. Chan Sarun, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery delivered a welcoming speech connected with a report on reforestation activities during the past year . HM the King hand over a Visitors’ Book to H.E. Mr. Chan Sarun expressing satisfaction over the Royal Government’s achievements, in particular those of the Ministry of Agriculture , Forestry and Fishery. Eight provinces: Kompong Speu, Kandal, Kampot, Preah Sihanoukville, Koh Kong, Pursat, Kompong Chhnang, and Takeo were given small trees from HM the King.
