On Wednesday March 8, 2006, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni granted an audience to Mr. Chakrarot Chitrabongs, Chairman of the Siam Society heading a Delegation and accompanied by HE Piyawat Niyomrerks, Ambassador of Thailand in Cambodia. Mr. Chakrarot Chitrabongs offered a few art and cultural books about buddhism to His Majesty. Mr. Chakrarot Chitrabongs took that opportunity to introduce the Siam Society to His Majesty. The Siam Society is a Foundation created in 1904 and which celebrated its 100th Anniversary in 2004. The Foundation is subsidized by the King of Thailand.
