On February 8, 2008, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni granted an audience to HH Prince Sisowath Kolachhad, Secretary of State to the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, accompanied by his wife and Mr. Michel Verrot, a member of the French Co-operation Mission and expert to the Ministry. HH Prince Kolachhad reported to His Majesty about the creation of the National School of Heritage under the tutelage of the Ministry of Culture and solicited His Majesty's consent for a project of restauration of various buildings of the Royal Palace.
